The Problem

For 37 years, GITEX Technology Week has been the world’s gathering ground for tech pioneers and futurists, business leaders and IT professionals, all arriving with the mission to experience the world’s most advanced technologies, power their digital transformation and live the evolution as it happens. In 2017, Amplify attended, armed with the latest recording equipment and ready to shoot the very best footage for our client Appspace.


Appspace are the go-to guys for all things digital signage, with simple tools to author, publish and manage content, and enterprise features for platform standards, security, and scale. Appspace partnered at the event with brands such as Cisco, Intel, Etisalat and LG, where a representative presented on each of the stands to demonstrate the Appspace product, drive sales and increase awareness. Amplify were challenged to a short deadline to turn social media strategy to generate awareness of their attendance, engagement and reach a targeted audience in the lead up to and during the GITEX Technology Week 2017.

Our Solution

With Appspace headquarters located in the United States of America, and business booming in the EMEA region, Amplify proposed the suggestion that Appspace created new social media accounts for the locality. Introducing Appspace EMEA! Check it out here!

Amplify put together a strategic digital marketing plan that detailed posts for before, during and after the event. Relevant social media platforms were highlighted, as we all know, different fish swim in different ponds; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Appropriate hashtags were established that were forecast to be popular during the event and used to ensure that Appspace could increase Appspace’s visibility and engage with attendees on social media.

When the GITEX Technology Week doors opened, the Amplify team were raring to go and ready to capture quality video and image content to publish and live stream on social media. Interviews the movers and shakers of technology world were conducted, demonstrations of Appspace and their partner brands products were captured and for those who missed the event, the most exciting technology innovations were revealed – including the Mercedes-Benz F015 – Luxury in Motion Etisalat UAE Mercedes-Benz!

The Studio team and Social Media team received the content live from the show, where the raw footage was converted into sleek video content and published on Appspace EMEA social media platforms.

The Result

One video from the event reached almost 18,000 people on Facebook and another video from the event was viewed over 131,000 times. Such success has resulted in Amplify now travelling the globe with Appspace to capture quality social content from events and exhibitions.









The strategic digital marketing plan that Amplify put together for GITEX was great as it improved our visibility at the event. The strategy was seamless and everything was taken care of so the Appspace team at the event could focus on other business processes.
