Social media: The most powerful and essential marketing tool

Social Media Marketing allows brands to market their products and services online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

With digital marketing budgets increasing and traditional or offline advertising budgets being cut. Word of mouth marketing has been identified as one of the most valuable forms of marketing. This can easily be achieved through a successful social media marketing campaign. One that consumers trust above all others which is likely to lead to an increase in sales.

According to Nielson:

“92% of consumers believe recommendations from friends and family over all forms of advertising”

One of the most important things to consider when using social media marketing is to connect and engage with your consumers. Many brands get caught up in ‘collecting’ social media fans and not actually engaging with them. Having a Facebook or Instagram community of 500 fans that love your brand and share their experiences is much more effective than 100,000 followers who have just signed up to win a competition or have liked your page through sponsored advertising.

“The main objective for a successful social media strategy is not only to build a presence across key Social Media channels, but also to Engage, Educate and Reward your followers”

Social media marketing has become one of the most powerful and essential marketing tools a brand or business can have. It allows you to reach consumers on a more personal and engaging level through platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and more. With Facebook recently announcing that they had passed 400 million member. The average user spending 55 minutes per day on the site with an average of 130 friends. Facebook is the ideal environment to start growing your brand. However it’s important it is done to the best advantage. A study recently found that there was very little difference between the frequency of standard posts and the engagement of consumers. However by adding different forms of media such as links, photo’s and videos the engagement significantly increased. Therefore it is important to focus on quality of content rather than posting several times a day with little engagement.

Social media channels now enable businesses to select age range, gender, location and interests of consumers they would like to target their content to be seen by. This new digital era not only enables businesses to target potential consumers through channels like Facebook, but by using search history, consumers can be ‘followed’ on the internet so they see adverts from similar brands, services and products.

When creating a social media strategy it’s important to ensure your content reflects the channels you are using. Many brands make the mistake of using a ‘one fit’s all’ strategy. Posting exactly the same content across all channels. Whilst you may experience some success following this strategy, it will not enable you to reach your maximum potential. For example Twitter is used to discover that is happening in the world, here and now. Therefore this channel should be used as more of a news channel, posting live tweets from your events. With hundreds of millions of users worldwide and over 500 million Tweets being sent each day, there is a great opportunity for businesses or brands to reach a global audience of new and existing customers, providing they are sharing the right content.

Instagram is a great platform to tell your brands story. This can be done through creative photography or short engaging video clips. Instagram is also brilliant for word of mouth marketing. Consumers regularly share their own experience of your brand with their followers. For example an image of their favourite beauty product, or the latest gadget. Before you know it you have a genuine review of your product that has been shared and recommended without you having to do anything!

Whilst social media marketing is great for interaction and engagement with your consumers. It’s also important to recognise that it may not always be positive feedback. Therefore it’s essential all your accounts are constantly managed and any feedback is responded to immediately. Whether it be addressing issues of concern or giving recognition and thanks for positive feedback.

How Brands in UAE can use Facebook Canvas Ads for Marketing? – Digital marketing #

How Brands in UAE can use Facebook Canvas Ads for Marketing? – Digital marketing #

In this era, when smartphones are just as powerful as your average computer, it is quite understandable that more and more people are using their phones.

The majority of time spent on mobile is on a handful of apps – let’s face it, nobody calls anyone anymore – not when they can Whatsapp, Tweet, send Snap Stories or post on their Facebook walls.

What is Canvas?

Canvas is a new post-click, full-screen, immersive mobile ad experience on Facebook that loads nearly instantaneously. Canvas is designed to help businesses tell their stories and show products on mobile devices in a beautiful way.

Launched worldwide on February 26th 2016, Canvas gives businesses a fully customizable digital space on which to build multimedia stories.

Canvases open from Facebook ads in News Feed to reveal a full-screen experience where advertisers can use a mix of video, still images, text and call-to-action buttons to build a beautiful and effective brand and product experiences on mobile. CTAs are widely successful in digital marketing – when implemented correctly.

Here is how Canvas will change advertising on Facebook for key stakeholders:

For Brands:

Canvas will help businesses drive any advertising objective, from brand building to driving sales. Brands will be able to tell stories and showcase their products in a much more creative way. They will have full autonomy over ads, they can use whichever mix of multimedia suits them. Brand building will be easier and brand positioning can be stronger – if Canvas is used right.

In this regard, visual content will become king. Videos and pictures will lead the game when it comes to using Canvas to its full potential.

Coca-Cola built a Canvas that featured the newly launched special series of Aluminum Bottles. They reached nearly 16 million people and had an average view time of 18 seconds.

People will not easily forget the experience. This means that the consumer recall rate will increase.

After clicking on an ad, people will see a fast-loading, full-screen ad where they can browse through a variety of products, before going to the retailer’s website to purchase.

For Users:

After clicking on the ads, users will be able to have a more immersive experience with the brand and its products – as compared to a normal Facebook ad.

Users can interact with the brand on a much larger scale and more variety in products can be showcased. If the mobile screen is bigger, users will have a better ad experience with Canvas.

The premise for Canvas is that users will not find the ads annoying because they will beautifully designed and created. However, there is no reason why people may not simply find the full-screen ads a waste of their time.

Welcome to our new client, beauty supplement Inversion Femme!

We are delighted to welcome Inversion Femme to our new client list. From January 2016 we have been busy working on a marketing strategy for the supplement which boasts for the first time to be a single product to combat hair loss, signs of ageing, develop stronger nails and a healthy figure. The strategy includes both online and offline services which will be implemented throughout the year.

Part of the strategy has seen our team designing and developing a website www.inversionfemme.com for the product which also includes beauty information and a Q&A on many well known beauty concerns. We will soon be launching a social media campaign and looking to develop Brand Ambassadors to support the campaign. I jumped at the chance of testing the product, being the only female in the office I had little competition! I like many women in their 30’s have the worry of hair thinning, ageing and brittle nails so always keen to try something that may help. I will be sharing my progress via a monthly blog, detailing my honest opinion and results of the supplement.

The effectiveness of Inversion Femme which has been demonstrated in 2 separate clinical trials can be attributed to 4 complimentary elements –

  1. Its Anti-Oxidant Effect: it protects skin, hair and nails from the harmful Screen Shot 2016-02-24 at 13.34.17effects of free radicals
  2. Its Nutritional Effect: it provides the skin, nails and hair with the essential nutrients needed for renewal and growth
  3. It’s Invigorating Effect: it preserves the essential dynamism we need to feel good
  4. Its Thermogenic Effect: increases the amount of energy used by the body thus preserving body shape

I am quite excited to see the results from taking the 3 capsules a day, which contain a variety of vitamins and minerals and completely natural ingredients. Watch out for my future posts! In the meantime if you are interested in trialling the product and keen to share your progress via a Video Blog and Social Media – get in touch for more information.

Social Media Management in Dubai

Social Media Channels

There’s a lot of choice out there when it comes to choosing social media platforms for your business, and it’s easy to feel daunted and overwhelmed by the options.

We have compiled a list of our favourites, along with some ways they can be put to best use for your business.

Facebook

The most widely used of all social media, Facebook is ideal for consumer-facing businesses. While it’s becoming increasingly difficult to reach audiences organically, paying for a well-targeted advert or promoted post can do wonders in seeing big results on a social media campaign.

YouTube

YouTube’s platform is bigger than many people realise, and its ad targeting tool is one of most precise we’ve seen. Create snappy, engaging videos for your business or put together one of the most searched-for type of content: the mighty how-to video.

LinkedIn

A presence on LinkedIn is an absolute must for B2B companies and those reaching professional services. Keep your company page up to date with news, long-form posts and create a showcase page to target your products and services at certain audiences.

Pinterest

As a social media site we could lose hours of the day on Pinterest! It is best suited for businesses with a very visual aspect, or anything that involves food or getting crafty. Pinterest users love to be inspired and will often save links to come back to later, making it a great way of driving traffic to your website.

Instagram

Instagram is a great platform for getting your products out there. Unleash your arty side and get playing with different filters.

Twitter

Twitter is quite possibly our favourite social media platform. It can be cleverly utilised to drive users towards websites and apps, as well as being a fantastic tool for joining in conversations that are relevant to your business.

Vine

Vine is a video app with a twist: you only get six seconds of footage. These constraints force you to be creative and Vines can be used to show humour, products and tease at upcoming launches or announcements. Vine is owned by Twitter, and ideal for sharing on that platform.

If social media leaves you feeling out of your depth, get in touch today or give us a call on 044342104 to see how we can help you.
