Innovative New Zealand apple brand, Rockit, has partnered with Amplify and iconic Dubai-based artist, Dina Sami, to make the traditional Muslim month of fasting and prayer – Ramadan – unforgettable.

Premium miniature apples have been packed into 17,000 delightful Ramadan-inspired Rockit promotional boxes showcasing Dina’s work, now on sale both in store and online across the Middle East, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Rockit Market Manager for the Middle East, Ziad El Chawa, says the holy month of Ramadan, which is observed during April, is a time for families and friends to gather. Many offer gifts as a reflection of the generosity which is a hallmark of this most sacred month.

“With fasting occurring between sunrise and sunset, Rockit™ apples are a popular option among families to fuel them through their fast,” says Ziad. “A three-day Eid Al Fitr occurs at the end of this holy month, which is also the perfect opportunity to enjoy Rockit’s delicious, crisp and juicy apples.”

He says the creative interpretation of Ramadan by Dina – a depiction of a modern Muslim family against a night sky background – encourages purchasers to “give a little goodness” with Rockit. “We loved the instant appeal of this artwork – it’s fresh, contemporary and colourful which really stands out in store and across our digital channels.”

General Manager Global Sales, Mark Pay, says Rockit™ apples have been growing in popularity within Middle Eastern countries – sold in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait – with the Ramadan campaign looking set to boost awareness further.

“Sales are certainly surging within this high growth market,” he says. “We were up 47% on the previous year in 2021, and orders for the 2022 season are already exceeding our expectations.”

“It’s exciting to see millions of nutrition-driven consumers choosing Rockit, as well as an ever-increasing family of retailers, who see the uptake and want to be part of the magic. We believe our themed boxes, available until 2 May, will fly out the door, as families take this time to be grateful, express generosity and enjoy the company of those closest to them.”

Alongside the eye-catching themed box displays in store, Rockit’s Global Digital Manager, Annabel Hall, says Ramadan is being celebrated with extensive online activity.

“We’ve worked hard with our partner, Amplify marketing agency, to create an engaging digital campaign and content aimed at keeping consumers fit and healthy during the festival, including collaborations with 10 high profile social media influencers, children’s activities, traditional recipes – with a Rockit spin – to download, along with activity driving consumers to local retailer e-commerce platforms.

“It’s a really significant time of year for our Muslim consumers in the Middle East, as well as parts of southeast Asia, and through this localised content and activity, we’re expecting an excellent response and strong engagement.”

What a year 2020 has been so far! This year will be remembered in history for the unprecedented events of a global pandemic. It meant for the first time in our history we had to implement full-time remote working for our team, ensuring the situation did not affect our ability to deliver projects and we were able to support our clients at a time when they needed us the most.

Time away from the office gave us an opportunity to reflect on the past twelve years, how much we have grown as individuals and as a team and how marketing and the digital landscape have changed significantly (even more so than ever in 2020). Our key objective was to make sure that when we returned back to the office, we came back with a bang! Prior to the lockdown, we had moved to a studio in the heart of Dubai Marina / JLT with beautiful panoramic views of the city including the prestigious 7* Hotel, Burj Al Arab. We had originally planned to mark the occasion with a brand refresh to communicate some of our new services, recent projects, and 12 years of success in the market, so used this time as a great opportunity to reflect and bring our ideas to life.

The rationale behind the rebrand was to show how Amplify has grown and evolved since its inception. The fresh new color pops perfectly on paper and digital screens, making the logo stand out, but without losing the identity that our clients, partners, and colleagues have come to love over the last decade. The typography has been designed to reflect and stand out in the new digital world, where online marketing platforms are more important than ever. Amplify was originally launched in 2008…. two years before Instagram. At that time Mark Zuckerberg was that odd Facebook friend that you didn’t add?! Apps were in their infancy and launched an entirely new industry and platform.

We hope you like our new identity and would love to hear your feedback.

We wish you all the very best of health, keep the faith, stay strong, and be positive we can all grow again together into a bright new future!

Why not follow us on Instagram or Facebook, we offer some great free marketing tips and advice and hopefully make you smile too!

Amplify Services Include Business to Business Marketing

Amplify Services Include Business to Business Marketing

Following on from our previous blogs, where we have shared examples of different types of marketing and the importance of planning and having a marketing strategy in place. For you to achieve success in these areas it’s also important to identify your target audience and then ensure everything you do centres around them.

Identifying Buying behaviour

To support our clients in marketing their products or services properly it’s essential for them firstly to identify customer’s buying behaviour. By recognising the consumer’s behaviour, e.g. why they buy a certain product or chose a certain brand enables us to identify how to encourage and persuade the consumer to buy a different product or service. Buying behaviour is usually split into two sections, whether selling to the consumer (known as business to consumer B2C) or to another business (known as business to business B2B).

Business to Consumer Buying Behaviour

This type of behaviour focuses on the consumer and their purchase of a product or service. For example if a consumer wanted to purchase a pair of running shoes, they would source different information on the types and brands available. This may involve them visiting shopping malls, sports shops, searching online or talking to friends or family. Once they have decided on a product they will make the purchase. After this the consumer will evaluate the value of the running shoes, usually if the value is high they will repeat the purchase. This can then develop loyalty for the product / brand.

Business to Business Buying Behaviour

Relates to organisational or industrial buying behaviour. Companies tend to buy either wholesale from other businesses or directly from the manufacturer in contracts or agreements. B2B marketing consists of one business marketing their product or service directly to another business.
